In a buttock lift, excess skin and fat from around the hip area is surgically removed. This procedure is ideal for patients who are in relatively good shape with excess skin and fat in the buttock area. Surgery is performed on people who have lost elasticity of the buttock area, have skin areas that are saggy or hips that look dramatically better when they lift the lax skin. This procedure can be combined or done separately.
Back to work: you can return to work after 10-14 days. Return to exercise after 4-6 weeks.
Duration of operation: Usually 4-5 hours if combined or 2-3 hours if only one of the above is chosen. Performed under general anaesthetic. One can expect to stay overnight in hospital.
