Prominent ears usually make children and young adults anxious and cause psychological problems. It is therefore recommended to perform the operation at a young age ( <6 years old). It is possible of course to successfully treat problems in adults as well.
It is usually performed under local anesthesia and one can resume his/her everyday activities in 3-5 days.
