This procedure is done to enhance the size of breasts using silicone implants. This surgical procedure usually lasts 1 hour and is performed under general anaesthesia usually on an outpatient basis.
- Enhance the contour/ shape of a woman
- Balance the size of breasts when there is a distinct difference in size between the breasts
- Reconstruction due to partial or complete loss of breasts due to a variety of conditions
- Replace already existing implants
- Increase or decrease breast volume after pregnancy
The Procedure
- Operation: 1 hour
- General Anaesthetic
- 1 night stay in hospital/ outpatient
Recovery
- Temporary soreness, swelling and bruising which will resolve within 5 – days
- 1 week before driving
- 1-2 weeks home recovery
- 4-6 weeks before exercise
- 3-4 weeks before physical contact with breasts
